Sunday 18 May: Copa Sandino, Copa Lucrecia Lindo, Bristol, Ashton Park School, the annual hotly contested football tournament Copa Sandino and Copa Lucrecia Lindo to raise funds for project in Puerto Morazan, Bristol’s twin town. Funds from this year’s women’s tournament Copa Lucrecia Lindo will go to support Futbol sin Fronteras based in Granada. 2014 is the 80th anniversary of the assassination of Augusto Cesar Sandino and the 35th anniversary of the Sandinista Revolution. In mid July there will be an event in London to mark these two events. Date and venue to be confirmed.
