Latin American Spanish Classes

If you want to learn Spanish with a Latin American flavour the Nicaragua Solidarity Campaign is the place for you. We have small evening classes teaching three levels (Beginners, Elementary and Intermediates) at reasonable prices. Our Peruvian teacher will certainly get you talking as well as providing worksheets and homework.

All profits go to the work of the Nicaragua Solidarity Campaign so see below and then contact us to find out more details. You may be able to join in mid-term. Hasta luego!

You could also improve your Spanish by:

·  buying a bilingual Nicaraguan poetry book. Look for the P symbol in our Solidarity Book Shop >>
·  buying Latin American CDs (some come with bi-lingual words). Go to the shop >>
Sometimes we have other Nicaraguan CDs in stock so you could contact us for availability on 020 7272 9619 or nsc@nicaraguasc.org.uk

Latin American Spanish Classes Summer Term 2008

The term is 10 weeks long and starts on MONDAY MAY 12th

Beginners           6.30 - 7.30 pm
Elementary         7.30 - 8.30 pm
Intermediates     8.30 - 9.30 pm
NB. It is possible to attend 2 classes for the same price if this suits your needs better. Please phone to discuss your level if you are not sure.

Cost: Beginners to Intermediates £80 a term, £55 concessions.

The classes take place at:

NSC, back of the Red Rose Club, 129 Seven Sisters Rd, Finsbury Park, N7.
VERY SORRY – NO WHEELCHAIR ACCESS OR FACILITIES FOR HEARING AND SIGHT IMPAIRED STUDENTS.

Directions: At Finsbury Park tube come through the tunnel leading on to Seven Sisters Rd and turn right. The Red Rose Club (a pub in fact) is on the same side of the road less than 10 minutes walk away, well before you reach Hornsey Rd. Go up the stairs at the back of the building. The building is very scruffy but we are a friendly bunch. You can make a cup of tea or coffee when you arrive.
Do NOT park in the access road by the building; you may get towed away. If you come by bike, chain it up by the Red Rose Club at the front or bring it up stairs.

Your class fees go towards our work which is to raise awareness in the UK of the situation in Nicaragua, and to support grass-roots organisations there. We organize study tours and environmental work In Nicaragua , speaker tours of Nicaraguans in the UK, produce a newsletter, sell t-shirts, mugs etc., put on fiestas and other events, and lots more.
The other way in which you can help is at our events, eg. working on the door, bar or stall at a fiesta, festival or public meeting. Or stuffing envelopes in the office!
If you want to do none of these, only learn Spanish, of course that's fine too.
