What we do

NSC works in solidarity with Nicaraguan organisations and social movements fighting for social and economic justice by promoting and seeking support for their activities.

How we do it

We co-ordinate speaker tours of the UK by representatives of our Nicaraguan partner organisations. For example, Nicaraguan Fairtrade producer Norma Gadea Paiva visited England and Scotland to speak to Fairtrade activists and women's organisations and to promote Fairtrade organic coffee grown by women farmers.

I feel really proud that I could represent my cooperative at an international level and that I was given the opportunity to learn more about the coffee chain. I also really enjoyed being able to participate in International Women’s Day and share my experiences and meet women from all over the world.
